Roshanay Asif Sheikh

During my academic years, I demonstrated exceptional passion and energy, actively engaging in various events and societies. I held leadership roles, serving as the vice captain during O levels and head girl during A levels. In these capacities, I successfully organized and managed events such as sports days, carnivals, and concerts, showcasing my strong organizational and leadership skills.

In university, my enthusiasm for initiating impactful projects continued. I pioneered the first-ever Model United Nations (MUN) at my institute, BUMUN, and curated the sole TEDx event known as TEDxTarogil, which was officially licensed under my name. Additionally, I played a crucial role as a core team member of the largest annual event at BNU, Bestival.

While pursuing my studies, my drive to explore beyond the ordinary led me to establish my own events company. As a student entrepreneur, I organized exhibitions to support women entrepreneurs in my community. I also successfully hosted a concert featuring Abdullah Quershi and the premiere of the blockbuster hit movie "Main Hoon Shahid Afridi," with the entire star cast, including renowned actors Humayun Saeed and Hamza Ali Abbasi. Furthermore, I facilitated and managed various youth events, including Dastaan-e-Ishq featuring Umair Jalianwala and TEDxSialkot, featuring a lineup of inspiring speakers.

Committed to making a positive impact on society, I engaged in social work from a young age, starting with organizing a protest against the lynching of two brothers in Sialkot in 2013, which garnered attention from print and digital media. Subsequently, I co-founded an NGO called Azaad Pakistan, where we executed numerous projects, including annual Ramzan drives, support for orphanages, and a life & learning project, which involved teaching life skills to students at a charity school. Notably, we also conducted a nationwide letter-writing campaign to send messages of hope to children in Syria. Later, I co-founded another organization called WeGrow, with a primary focus on empowering underprivileged members of society. This initiative achieved significant milestones, such as conducting a nationwide campaign to provide aid to Palestine and organizing annual Ramzan drives.

In addition to my organizational and social contributions, I have developed strong public speaking skills and earned a certification as a trainer from Carnellian.

My extensive experience in event organization, social work, leadership, and public speaking reflects my passion for making a positive impact on the community and creating meaningful change. These experiences have equipped me with exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities, allowing me to excel in diverse professional settings.
